This solid 18k yellow gold charm is a replica of a coin created during the early 1600s amid the colonization of the Hogge Islands- now Bermuda’s Sommer Islands. This miniature twelve-pence coin replica features a wild boar surrounded by the words “Sommer Ilands”, with a ship on the reverse. The smooth, polished details stand out in relief among the matte, textured background.
The piece measures approximately .8″ without the hanging loop x .65″ and comes with a 14k gold split ring for easy attachment to a chain. It is unmarked but has been carefully acid tested to ensure its 18k gold content and weighs 2.6 grams. It is in great preowned condition, please see photos for details.
