This stunning estate cocktail ring boasts a lesser-known rare gemstone called sugilite, set into an asymmetrical 14k gold mounting. The oval, deep purple stone measures roughly 13 x 9mm and is surrounded by a halo of round brilliant diamonds weighing about .50cttw. The diamonds are graded G in color and VS-SI in clarity, set in white gold. The yellow gold shank wraps around and serves as two of the prongs which hold the center stone.
The ring face measures approximately 19mm wide, and the ring tapers to 2mm wide in back. The ring is unmarked but has been carefully acid tested to ensure its 14k gold content. Condition is great with some light abrasions to the sugilite which are not obtrusive. The ring is a size 8 and weighs 8.4 grams, please see photos for details. Please note that the color of the sugilite is slightly more blue in tone than the photos show.
